One in four UEA commuter journeys are undertaken by bus so we work closely with local transport companies to improve the quality and reliability of services for staff and students.
Volunteer For UEA Bus Users Forum
We are looking for volunteers to join a Bus Users Forum, initially to engage with First Bus. The Forum will provide an opportunity for members to express compliments, concerns or ideas of how First Bus Services can be improved. A member of Norfolk County Council Passenger Transport Team will be invited to attend to give a wider perspective.
We are seeking a cross section of regular First Bus users to ensure we capture the widest possible views. We appreciate that your role in the University will impact on your travel needs and therefore would like to include Undergraduates, Postgraduate, International and mature students and staff from support services and academia; with representation from the main and west campus (ECB, BCRE, Centrum). The Forum aims to be a positive experience where honest and open discussions can take place and solutions to any issues or concerns can be sought. To achieve this volunteers need to have an objective and constructive approach, be willing to listen to the views of others as well as able to share their own thoughts and experiences.
The Forum is expected to meet no more than three times in 2017/18 with meetings scheduled for lunchtimes and should not take more than 1 hour. An inaugural meeting will take place Friday 27 October at 12.30 pm.
If you feel you can make a positive contribution to the Forum please complete the application form and email to email@example.com. Please put “Bus User Forum” in the subject box to enable your application for membership to be identified quickly.
Due to the number of applications received so far, we will no longer be accepting staff applications but would encourage students to apply so we can involve all bus users in the forum.
