We still have some spaces on the Walking Holiday for twin/double rooms. Do let me know if you would like to join us – see phone & email below. The single rooms are spoken for, but if you have a friend/relative to share with, that’s OK. The Touring (Discovery) Holiday is currently full, but please let me know if you’d like this option if any spaces become available – see phone & email below.
This is a Monday to Friday holiday with walks on the Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. On this holiday we will have fully guided walks with HF Leaders and they will provide transport to and from the walks.
The HF house at Freshwater Bay is at the foot of the famous white cliffs overlooking the bay on the west of the island. There are excellent walks straight from the door! It will also be possible to explore the island independently as “Self Guided” with HF accommodation and meals, including a packed lunch.

The cost of the Guided Walking holiday is currently quoted at £435 per person. The Discovery Tour is more expensive (about +£70) and Self-Guided less so (about -£80), but this depends on our numbers. All rooms are en suite and there is no single supplement. A deposit of £75 is required.
We will offer a coach from Norwich to Lymington, a ferry to Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight and 4 mile transfer to the hotel at Freshwater Bay. The road journey to Lymington is about 220 miles and 4½ hours driving via the M25. The cost of the coaches and ferry from Norwich will be about £85. This cost will be added to the holiday cost above. Please do ensure you have appropriate travel insurance when you make the booking. HF holidays no longer offer insurance. Most people find an annual policy better value. If you need to cancel for any reason, you will lose your deposit, unless we can transfer the booking to another member of UEARA. The final balance will be due at the beginning of August 2019 and is not refundable.
