Mindfulness Group

Students Support Service is offering four Mindfulness group sessions for students. The sessions will explore a variety of techniques used in Mindfulness based approaches to wellbeing. Mindfulness can help us:

· Develop inner resources to cope with stress, anxiety and depression;

· Cope with difficulty and experience a greater sense of calm and wellbeing;

Bereavement Group (once a month)

When someone we care about dies it is normal and healthy for us to grieve our loss. Our feelings at this time may be among the most profound and painful we ever experience. Adjusting to student life while dealing with grief can be difficult. This group aims to bring together students who are experiencing these feelings, giving them the opportunity to share their experiences and coping strategies with each other.

Managing Worry (repeat)

Initial workshop covers core information and follow-up session provides an opportunity to review and problem solve. This workshop will explore the concept of worry from a Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT) perspective, and introduce evidence-based strategies aimed at managing worry based on this approach.

Dates and Times: Part 1 29 November 2017 17:15- 18:45 and Part 2 on the 7 December 2017 17:15- 18:15. You cannot just attend part 2.
