Wellbeing Programme for the Assessment Period at the Library

We are running 20-minute drop in sessions on Thursdays

Managing Low Mood and Anxiety

This workshop is made up of 4 consecutive sessions. Throughout these sessions we will explore experiences of low mood, anxiety and panic from a Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) perspective, and introduce evidence based strategies that can be used to ease these difficulties and improve our overall wellbeing.

We advise that students attend all of the sessions to get the most out of this workshop.

We will look at what it takes to be well and resilient in the face of challenges:

  • Reminding you of the basic principles of keeping a good balance
  • Finishing with tips and actions to add to your daily routine

Learn to...

  • Regulate your mood & emotions
  • Increase skillful behaviours
  • Experience thoughts & emotions without acting on them
  • Decrease the frequency & intensity of unpleasant emotions

  • Tolerate difficult situations & emotional pain

Mindful Walking

Student Support Service is offering mindful walking for students.

Come and walk for ten minutes with focused awareness to help reduce stress and anxiety.

Mindfulness

Student Support Service is offering Summer Mindfulness practice for students.

Sessions offer the opportunity to experience some meditation practices, including breathing exercises and guided imagery.

Mindfulness promotes wellbeing and can help us reconnect and rediscover a sense of peace and enjoyment.
