Thursday 18 July 2019 1:00pm-5:00pm
Students' Union Room 1 (upstairs)
Are you a master's student working on your dissertation this summer?
Officers from the Student Union and Tutors from the Learning Enhancement Team invite you to join conversations about your experience over cake and refreshments.
The afternoon will also feature an opportunity to do some of your writing in the company of others in our Writers' Group specifically for master's students. Writers' groups provide structured time and space dedicated to writing. Our Dissertation Writers group offers two one hour blocks of writing, with warm up activities to get you going with your writing and the opportunity to reflect on the writing you have done and the writing you still have to do. A Learning Enhancement Tutor will lead these activities.
Tea, coffee, cake and conversation from 1:00pm-2:00pm
Writers' group from 2:00pm-4:00pm
More tea, coffee, cake and conversation from 4:00pm-5:00pm
Feel free to come along to some, or all, of the sessions. If you want to participate in the Writers' Group, please bring along your laptop with access to your dissertation writing.
