Global Voices - Celebrating UEA's Cultural Diversity Global Voices - Celebrating UEA's Cultural Diversity

What is the Global Voice project?

The Global Voices project offers a unique opportunity for schools and community groups to link up with our diverse student population to provide fun and interactive workshops with your pupils.

Our Global Voices volunteers will deliver engaging, inclusive and informative sessions designed especially for your group. This completely free initiative provides an stimulating opportunity for schools and other groups to invite our international student volunteers to present, demonstrate, answer questions and interact with your pupils to showcase the cultural diversity of the world in which we all live, work and travel to help broaden our understanding and knowledge of others.

Sessions can be culturally based as we have volunteers from many countries, as well as experience based through life, university or subject specific.

To find out more about what our international Global Voice volunteers can do for you, please complete this short online form to register your interest or email us at Global.Voices@uea.ac.uk.

Once we receive your request we will get in touch with you to discuss how we can help. We will then match you to one of our Global Voices volunteers who will then contact you to discuss their visit in more detail.

Here is some of our feedback from schools that we have worked with.

"Learning how to make something from another country is always memorable. Learning stories and songs also is really special. However the really important thing is that the volunteers are just here and enriching the children's experiences and life - which is exactly your Global Voices did."

"Our Global Voices visits went really well. The children and teachers enjoyed meeting the students, and some children were inspired to go and find more about Hong Kong as a result."
