Full and part-time, undergraduate and postgraduate UK students taking eligible courses can apply for a Disabled Students' Allowance. Students from the Republic of Ireland can apply for a similar allowance.
The University of East Anglia is no longer a provider of Non Medical Helpers (NMH). As an institution we are unable to recommend specific providers due to the regulations. We are aware that there are at least 3 active providers of various NMH support. These are Clearlinks, Clarion and Ranstad. We are developing working relationships with all providers working in the area. We have gone through procurement to agree that Ranstad are the providers of support that the University is responsible for funding directly (Band 1/2 and International etc). We have two SpLD tutors (employees) who will be delivering 1:1 tuition inhouse that the University is funding directly.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
If you are in receipt of DSA please note, it is your responsibility to notify all providers of your agreed support (including equipment and nonmedical helper support). This is to ensure the provider is fully aware of their commitment to you.
