EIRA Training Opportunities

There are two opportunities for Post-Grads, Early Stage Career Researchers and KE Professionals to attend informative sessions organised by EIRA at UEA.

Effective Communication Workshop.

7 March 2020, 10am, The Enterprise Centre, UEA.

This session, which focuses on effective communication, will cover topics including, how to network online and in person, how to build your reputation and how best to communicate with academia and beyond.

The session will be run by Dr Rosemary Bass, a careers adviser who specialises in PhD students and research staff. Rosemary has extensive experience in the design and delivery of training sessions.



27 March 2020, 10am – 2:30pm, The Enterprise Centre, UEA.

This session will focus on innovation at UEA and the Norwich Research Park. It will provide insight into the key stages of the innovation journey and provide information about Enterprise support available at UEA.

Representatives from Procarta, iBOXiT and Leaf Expression will be there to talk through their own experiences of the innovation journey and there will also be the opportunity to ask the panel questions.

Following a lunch break there will be an introduction to the Innovation Canvas; an innovation model, creative platform and diagnostic tool from Innovate UK. As well as this there will be an introduction to Student Enterprise at UEA.
