INTERNAL PEER REVIEW GUIDELINES AND TIMETABLE INTERNAL PEER REVIEW GUIDELINES AND TIMETABLE

The review process is described in the document EPSRC review process and is initiated by the investigator proposing 2 reviewers of the grant proposal. The process will be started when the JeS proposal has been completed with costings from RIN and 2 weeks should be allowed when there is no deadline on the call.

When the call has a specific deadline a minimum of 3 weeks, and preferably 4 weeks, should be allowed for the review process. This will be from the passing of the proposal and the review form to the reviewers to the actual call deadline. This should allow for the process to be iterative for the review by the 2 appointed reviewers and also allow time for the School Research Director to review the proposal and the process.

When the proposal has been reviewed, and recommended changes have been made, the School Research Director will confirm that the changes have been made and will approve the application for submission. Authorisation will follow the normal procedure with project authorisation by the Head of School and RIN. RIN will use the notes section of the Authorisation Sheet to inform the Head of School that the process has been followed.
