The Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES) 2019 is running from 1 February to 17 May 2019.
The Survey is your opportunity to tell us of your experiences as a postgraduate researcher at UEA, whether you are new or have nearly completed, are studying part- or full-time, for a Masters by Research, a PhD, or a professional doctorate.
The 2017 response rate was 58%, matching the response rate for the previous survey in 2015.
Once the survey has closed, the results will be analysed by the UEA Market Research team. Headline findings will be made available to the University’s Postgraduate Research Executive in June 2019, and detailed results will be circulated to Schools and Institutes by the end of October 2019. Schools and Institute Directors of Postgraduate Research will be asked to use the results to draw up an action plan for further changes and improvements. Please note that anonymity is preserved within this process as only groups with a response size of at least 10 are analysed.
PGR Directors will consult with the research community in the School or Institute – both academic colleagues and postgraduate researchers – to ensure that the suggested actions are appropriate responses to the feedback from PRES. We will then use these action plans to draw up Faculty and University plans and engage where necessary with other teams within the University (Library, IT, Space Management committees).
Your views matter to us and are crucial in ensuring that the University provides the experience postgraduate researchers want and improving provision for current and future PGRs. Examples of actions taken as a result of feedback can be found on the PRES 2017 page.
