What is it?
The Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES) is an important survey of postgraduate researchers, asking for your opinions and comments on your time at UEA and ideas for how postgraduate research experience could be enhanced.
PRES is carried out by institutions across the country and lets staff know what's working well and what's not at UEA - this helps improve UEA’s provisions for current and future researchers.
How do I take part?
PRES will be launched on 1st February and closes on 17th May 2019. You will be sent an email invitation to your UEA/NBI email addresses on the day of the launch and reminder emails will then be sent every other week to those who have yet to take part. The email will be sent from UEA Experience Surveys (email@example.com) and will always contain 'PRES' in the subject line, so please do look out for this.
Who can take part?
PRES is open to all postgraduate researchers. Whether you are studying full or part time we want to hear about your experience.
Why should I take part?
- Your experience is important to UEA
Understanding your experiences will be crucial in ensuring that the University provides the experience postgraduate researchers want.
- Prize draw
All participants who complete the survey will be eligible to be entered into a prize draw to win £150, £100 (two to be won), or £50 (three to be won). Prizes will be available as either a bank transfer or as your choice from a range of vouchers.
- Get involved!
Last year 58% of UEA PGR's took part. This was a good response rate but we would love to hear from even more this time to order to learn about your postgraduate research experience.
- Help to ensure that all areas of UEA have their say!
Different areas of the University may have had different experiences or have different requirements.
- Action will be taken
Don’t worry - the main findings from the survey will be shared, as will what has been done in response to the results going forward. To find out more about the actions taken as a result of previous PRES findings please click here.
- It’s confidential and secure
All data collected in this survey will be held securely. Results will be reported in an aggregated and anonymised form. Reporting on the quantitative results will not identify any individuals by always being based on subgroups of 10 or more. Throughout the survey there are chances for you to leave optional comments which will be used and shared in full in the analysis so please do not identify yourself or other individuals in your comments.
