Accessing reports - timeline and milestones

Our previous reporting tool, Oracle Discoverer, was withdrawn in August 2016. The core project aim was to implement a successor and migrate all reports from the legacy system. The project team was made up of members from ISD and Planning, and the project was overseen by a broad board on which key stakeholders were represented. The board was chaired by Ian Callaghan, Director of Planning.

Project Timeline

December 2014 Board makes final decision on reporting tool procurement.
February 2015 Install new tool (now identified as Tableau Server).
March 2015 Testing and set up.
April - June 2015 First pilot reports developed. Induction and training to start.
Summer 2015 First reports published
Summer 2015 onwards Business area by business area migration. 
August 2016 Decommissioning of legacy Discoverer system.
