South Essex College (SEC) is a further and higher education institute with four campuses in Essex; including Basildon, Thurrock, and two in Southend. Higher Education (HE) is delivered from SEC’s Luker Road campus in Southend and their campus in Thurrock.

SEC are one of the University of East Anglia’s (UEA) newest partnerships and offer a wide range of HE options validated by UEA; including Early Years Education, Criminology and Forensic Investigation, Psychology and Sociology, Counselling, and Accounting and Finance. Students who successfully complete validated courses will be awarded a UEA degree.

In recent years, SEC have significantly developed their campuses to offer students state-of-the-art facilities in convenient and easy to access areas. These include a new, cutting-edge £45 million development at the Thurrock campus and the Forum in Southend-on-Sea, a £27 million ultra-modern library and learning zone located opposite the Southend Campus. The Forum houses the college’s HE provision, with a huge range of books and resources available to students, as well as over 100 new computers and Wi-Fi access.
