Norwich Business School

Norwich Business School is the business school of the University of East Anglia. Studying with us means joining some of the most satisfied students in the UK and benefiting from our exceptionally high employment rates for graduates.

The Schools of Study at UEA teach thousands of undergraduate and postgraduate students each year across the four faculties of our campus in Norwich.

We’re looking forward to welcoming you to Norwich Business School.

If you haven’t already, check out our School pages on the UEA website.

In the meantime, don’t forget to Register Online to get access to your timetable once it becomes available, and log in to Blackboard our virtual learning environment.

Once you have registered online you will also need to attend a registration event (unless you are an undergraduate home student living in UEA accommodation, since you are registered automatically when you pick up your room keys).

  1. Welcome to the Norwich Business School at UEA. My colleagues and I will do our very best to ensure that you have a stimulating and rewarding time here. It is our intention that you will leave us not only with the skills necessary to succeed in your future career, but with the capacity to look beyond this to far broader intellectual horizons.

Please take a moment to look at details of your first week here at Norwich Business School. We have carefully planned the week to provide you with essential information that will enable you to settle in as quickly and painlessly as possible, and to assist you in getting the most out of your study with us. It is therefore imperative that you attend ALL events where it is specified on your timetable. As well as academic events, we have also organised social gatherings, to give you an opportunity to mingle with your fellow students and lecturers – so please do read your timetable carefully.

We will also continue to update this website with useful information prior to your arrival, so please check back regularly for updates. In the meantime you can also join our active and friendly social network communities:

I’m sure you will enjoy yourself here. We are a friendly, hard-working School. I look forward to welcoming you to the School when you register in September. In the meantime, enjoy the remainder of your summer.

Before your arrival, please complete the following forms:

  1. NBS Feed Forward Declaration

NBS has an ‘Inter Cohort Feed Forward’ scheme which aims to improve your learning experience and the quality of your assessed work. The scheme means that you get to see examples of assignments completed by past students to help you understand how to successfully meet the marking criteria.

As you will benefit from the participation of former students, we would be grateful if you would sign up via the link above to allow your anonymised work to be used to help future students.

  1. Student Pre-arrival Information For Timetabling

The Student Pre-arrival Information form provides a series of questions to be completed that will allow us to timetable you for the most appropriate classes based on your previous qualifications/experiences/skills.

Your course handbook is available from the link on the right (or below, if you're on mobile).

Please take a look at the reading lists for relevant modules on the Talis website.

Please note, you are not required to read these books before you arrive. All the books will be available from the UEA branch of Waterstones with some available as a value bundle.
