We asked current UEA students to tell us why they chose us, and their favourite thing about studying here
Registration is a two-part process:
- Online registration: please click on the link in your email from Registration@uea.ac.uk. Completing this creates your email account, gives you your student record, allows you to enrol your modules, and pay your tuition fees
- Registering in person: this completes your registration process. All students except distance learning students must register in person
Part 1: Registering Online
You need to complete the online registration task before you arrive.
Up to four weeks before the start of your course, we send you an email confirming your place from Registration@uea.ac.uk . This will include instructions for online registration.
With online registration you:
- confirm your personal details
- confirm your course
- answer some finance questions
- set up your IT password
- read and agree to University regulations
- upload a photo for your campus card
- if you're an online-only or distance learning student you don't have to upload a photo as you won't need a campus card
- if you haven’t received your online registration email and it is less than 10 days before the start of your course, please email: email@example.com.
Part 2: Registering in Person
Winter 2020 starters complete their registration with their School. Check your School induction pages for more information. Please ensure you bring your qualifications and other essential documents for registration with you (All students except distance learning students must register in person).
Some people wait until the day before they arrive at UEA to complete their online registration – not ideal! There are some excellent reasons to follow the link from your confirmation email as soon as you get it…
Get an email account
Your UEA email account is set up as part of your online registration. You won’t need to access the emails until you arrive though. Before then, we will send any important information to the email address you gave us when you applied.
Choose optional modules
For some courses, students need to select option modules. Check your School induction page to see whether this is the case for your course.
Follow the instructions to choose your options and email your choices to your Hub - the email address is on the New Student Enrolment Form.

Access your online student record
Once you’ve completed your online registration, you can access e:Vision. This is where you can see your student record and other information, like your personal timetable. This is a great time to subscribe to have your timetable set up on your smartphone or tablet calendar. But don’t worry if your timetable doesn’t appear yet. This will be available once we’re closer to the start of the semester. Login to e:Vision using your new UEA username and password at: https://sso.uea.ac.uk/evision
Pay your fees
Paying your tuition fees directly
If you are paying fees yourself, or someone is paying them for you, you need to complete the tuition fee section of the online registration. You can choose to pay by Direct Debit or in full. If you’re paying the fees all at once, you have 28 days from the date of the invoice to make your payment. You can also choose to pay in three instalments. You will get a letter telling you the dates for these payments.
Paying tuition fees with a student loan
If you’re paying by student loan, your fees come directly to the University via the Student Loans Company - you don’t need to complete extra sections on the online registration form.
Join the Students' Union
Once you’ve completed your online registration and got your UEA IT account, you can register with the Students’ Union. That means you can find out about all the events going on in your first week. You can also get details of clubs and societies and get to tickets for welcome week events.
