Wherever you have travelled from, whether Europe or further away, we would like to wish you a warm welcome to the UEA.
We know there is a lot to think about when travelling to study in a new country and we hope to make your arrival as easy as possible.
The International Students Advisory Team (ISAT)
ISAT is your dedicated team to support you and all international students studying at UEA, to help you overcome any challenges and to make the most of your time in the UK. If you have questions about your visa, travelling to UEA, or about living in Norwich, email them at email@example.com.

Make Sure You Are Ready for Travelling to the UK
- Get your travel documents and apply for your visa (if required)
- Prepare any medicine or documents for the doctor in the UK
- Get your vaccinations - It is strongly recommended that you have had:
- 2 x MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccinations
- A single Meningitis C vaccination
- Meningitis A, C, W & Y vaccinations
- Arrange your finances and how you will pay and transfer money to the UK
- Finalise your accommodation and travel
Your Pre-Departure Guide will help you with visas and immigration, healthcare in the UK, opening a bank account, arriving in the UK, arriving at UEA, staying safe and more.
International Arrival & Registration Days
Courses start on different days in January so you will need to check your induction timetable on the School pages for when you need to be at UEA. To register in-person before or after the main arrival dates, please follow the instructions on our Registration pages.
If you are living in UEA accommodation then you can collect your key from the Accommodation Office, Monday-Friday from 09.00 - 17.00.

International Orientation and Welcome Week
For all new EU and international students arriving this week, a full programme of information, social opportunities and activities are available to help you get settled. More details will be available throughout summer via the mobile app and on the International Orientation and Welcome Week page.

The UEA International Orientation Guide provides the information to help you with a successful start. The app gives you the useful information and resources, a schedule of all the events and activities for you to create your own personal schedule, and a built-in social media to interact with other new students.
