Finding your feet at university is a matter of finding your way around Finding your feet at university is a matter of finding your way around

However, it isn't just about knowing where you're going on campus: it’s also about finding your way around your online learning environment, as well as what's expected of you in terms of studying, reading, writing and managing information.

The ‘Information Trails’ package from UEA Library is an online induction resource suitable for all incoming undergraduate UEA students. It introduces key services, places and academic practices in four short, interactive Blackboard courses.

Building on the Library’s experience of creating online learning (including credit-bearing module content and the Digital Voyager course), Information Trails uses a lightweight, MOOC-style model to present key orientational information in an engaging format.

While the trails can be explored by students on an individual basis, Faculties and Schools are welcome to use some or all of the resource in their own induction provision. Content can be tailored to reflect disciplinary differences in how academic information is presented and used.

Please contact Emma e.coonan@uea.ac.uk to discuss how you could use Information Trails in your School or Faculty.
