Information for students and staff from City College and Easton & Otley College Information for students and staff from City College and Easton & Otley College

All eligible students and staff at City College Norwich and Easton College are entitled to Library membership and access to UEA subscribed electronic resources in support of their studies where licences permit and it is technically possible.

Who is eligible to use UEA Information Services?

If you are a student or member of staff teaching or studying on a UEA award-bearing course, you will be able to use the services and facilities offered by UEA Information Services to support your work or studies.  You will need a UEA campus card in order to access UEA Library and to make use of the self-service facilities in the Library.

How can I join the Library?

You will need to obtain and complete V3 Application Form from your home institution library. Please return the form, together with a passport-sized photograph to your college library who will validate the form and send it to UEA Library. A campus card will be produced for you and sent to your home institution library where it should be available for you to collect within 10 working days. Alternatively, you can bring the authorised form to the UEA Library. Please note that at busy times of year we may not be able to process your application immediately.

I had a UEA campus card last year, do I need to renew it or apply for a new one?

You do not need to re-apply or to renew your campus card. Your existing campus card is valid until the end of your course and so you can continue to use it to access the facilities in UEA Library or to borrow items, until the expiry date printed on the front of the card.

How many items can I borrow?

Students may borrow up to 10 items at a time, normally for 2 weeks at a time.  Staff may borrow up to 20 items at a time. All items borrowed must be returned to UEA Library.  Fines will be charged for late returns. All Library users are expected to abide by the Library Rules

What e-resources are available?

Easton & Otley Students - Information about the electronic resources available to you can be found on our EZ Proxy pages or from your home institution library.  You can also access some of our electronic resources while at UEA Library as a visitor.  Information on how to get visitor access can be found on the Visitor Access to E-Resources page.

City College Students - You can access some of our electronic resources while at UEA Library as a visitor.  Information on how to get visitor access can be found on the Visitor Access to E-Resources page.

How can I access the  electronic resources?

You will be issued with a UEA username and password by the Library at your college, which you will need to use to access UEA PCs. You will need to read and agree to the UEA IT Conditions of Use before your password is issued to you.

Owing to the strict terms of the license agreements, full access to electronic resources is limited to UEA Staff and Students only.  However, UEA Library does offer walk-in access to some electronic resources where licensing agreements permit.  CCN students are able to access these when they visit UEA Library by logging into the PCs using their UEA login details and visiting the list of resources available to visitors
