School of History: Propaganda

This was our first project to add gamification to a Blackboard module. Throughout the course there are a number of areas where students can earn achievements such as engaging with certain content or scoring a particular mark as part of a task.

There are also some offline achievements that can be earned in seminars as well as the online badges that can be won. These are then fed into a leader board so that students can see their progress.

They can also see all of the badges that they have won in their own personal achievement centre.

At the end of the course these achievements will be calculated by individuals and groups and a 'University Challenge' style seminar activity will determine the winners.
