Office 365 is a group of apps provided by Microsoft via a subscription service that not only offers the familiar Office products (Word, Excel etc.) but a selection of other productivity apps. With your UEA IT account you are automatically subscribed to the Office 365 Service and entitled to download the Office package on up to 5 different devices for free.
By being able to access Office 365 on almost any device you can work on your documents and creations anywhere, anytime. With it being a collaborative platform and because we are a group of colleagues who frequently need to work together across courses, modules, projects and plans, that consistency of access offers us some very exciting and creative possibilities.

As part of your Office 365 subscription you receive a generous 1TB of One Drive storage, 100 times larger than the average space allocated for your personal filestore so there’s less need to worry about space running out. You also receive an additional 50GB of storage for you Outlook account.
Microsoft has robust policies, controls, and systems built into Office 365 to help keep your information safe. Your Office 365 data belongs to you; that means you have complete control of it, who you want to share your work with and which documents you need to keep private. Easily access your UEA mailbox and calendar online from virtually any computer or mobile device with the feature rich web version of Outlook and a generous 50GB of mailbox storage. Quickly schedule meetings, share your availability with colleagues and access the UEA’s Global address list.
Having One Drive set up on your computer means that you can quickly access all your synced documents from any device without the use of a VPN. You can create a new PowerPoint presentation on your PC in the office, view and edit it on your iPad in the coffee shop then present it via the PC in the lecture theatre.
With 1TB of storage you won’t have to worry about running out of space and the ability to share documents with friends and colleagues is a smoother process than the current email attachment method. Not only can you share your work with members of the UEA community but also with those outside the University.
As well as the option to download up to 5 copies of Microsoft Office, Office 365 gives you the ability to work on your documents in your OneDrive from anywherel, on virtually any device. Office online offers Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote. With your documents backed up in OneDrive you can quickly and easily view previous versions and effortlessly recover accidentally deleted files.
Work like you are all in one room, even when you are not. From collaborative team sessions to large broadcasts or dialling into a conference using your phone, Skype for Business is designed for all your meeting needs.
Use Delve to manage your Office 365 profile, and to discover and organize the information that's likely to be most interesting to you right now - across Office 365.
Delve never changes any permissions, so you'll only see documents that you already have access to. Other people will not see your private documents.
