Find and select the video you would like to add interactivity to.
Towards the bottom of the video there will be a button. Click on this to open the Quiz Editor.
(If there are associated published quizzes for the video you will be able to see them here.)
Select Open Quiz Editor. The video may start playing, so just pause it.
The first thing to do is to create a new interaction.
Click on the new button, enter a name and select Create.
Move the search bar to where you want to add your interaction, and select from New Question, New Link, New Drawing or New Annotation.
Tip: If you want to add your interaction to a specific frame you can use the zoom (1x, 2x, 5x, or 10x) to find the right frame.
There are 4 options for questions select from:
- Multiple Choice
- True or False
- Free Text
- Fill in the Blank
The video will pause automatically when it reaches the question giving the learner the opportunity to answer it.
You can show question on lead in, or hide the question until paused.
Tip: You can adjust the lead in by moving the sliders on the question or typing numbers into the start end boxes.
You can add links to content within eStream including video content, pictures, documents and website links. New content can be automatically uploaded by dragging it onto the video.
The video will pause if the learner clicks on the link.
Areas of the video can be highlighted by adding drawing.
Text annotation can be added and positioned on the screen.
To save your interactivity click on the save button.
View the interactivity by clicking on the preview button.
You may be reminded to save if you have not already done so. A new window will open with your interaction. Click on Start to preview the interactive video.
The interaction can be shared by creating a web link or embed code
Finally the interaction can be published so that it can be found on eStream
Once the interaction has been published and learners start to use it you can use the Analytics button to see their responses.
