IMPORTANT NOTICE TO MICROSOFT INTERNET EXPLORER (IE) & EDGE USERS:

When using Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer (web browsers), to view or mark assessment you may find that some words are obsured and/or comments are missing. This is due to some compatibility issues that we have found with these browsers.

If possible, please use Google Chrome to view and mark assessments.

What is Box?

Box is the replacement to Crocodoc (due January 14th 2018) which will enable continued inline annotations from within Blackboard; unfortunately this transition is beyond our control. Crocodoc will no longer be available as a service and therefore a migration period is required to move from Crocodoc to Box where content (uploaded assessments) will be moved to the new format. Once the move to Box is complete it will bring new capabilities to online assessment such as an enhanced support for more file types and the ability for mobile marking.

The Box service will include the ability to add comments, highlight text, print and download the original submission (without comments).

Current Known Issues

Safari (Mac OS X) not displaying submitted assessments - grey box.

If you are using an Apple Mac and viewing Blackboard within the web browser Safari you may find that you are unable to view submitted assessments in Box. This is because Safari is preventing cross-site tracking.

Fix - to stop Safari from preventing cross-site tracking on Mac OS X, go to Safari Preferences > Privacy > Untick: Prevent cross-site tracking. Reload the page (you may need to restart Safari).
