The email tool allows messages to be sent to individuals and groups who participate in the module. Emails are sent to the email address listed in Blackboard, which for most users will be their UEA email account. You cannot use this tool to email people outside the module
Sending an Email
Select the relevant module from MY MODULES in Blackboard Learn
Select Module Tools from the Control Panel menu
Select Send Email
Select the link for the users you wish to send an email to
If choosing single/select users, select the users by clicking on the relevant names in the Available to Select box and clicking the arrow pointing right (>) to move the users in to the Selected box
You can select more than one person at once by holding the Ctrl key
Enter a subject and your message
Add attachments as appropriate
If copying text into the Message box, it is good practice to copy the text without any formatting. To do this copy the text into Notepad before copying into the Message box within Blackboard.
When an email comes via Blackboard, the To: field and the Subject field contain the Blackboard module ID for the particular module.
