Re-use of Public Sector Information Regulations Re-use of Public Sector Information Regulations

The UEA Library is required to comply with the Re-use of Public Sector Information Regulations 2015 (the PSI Regulations). These regulate how information the Library holds or creates is made available for re-use. They require that the Library publish a Public Task Statement and a list of documents available for re-use.

Public Task Statement

This statement sets out the functions carried out by the University of East Anglia (UEA) Library Service and what information is available for re-use under the Public Sector Information Regulations 2015. This statement is regularly reviewed and due to be considered again no later than December 2016. The wider University is exempt from these regulations.

The Public Task

UEA was founded by Royal Charter in 1963. UEA Library, as part of UEA Information Services Directorate (ISD) aims to provide a study environment, resources and services that significantly enhance scholarly activity and independent learning and research. Our primary aim is to support students and staff of the University in all areas of their study and research.

Details of library rules, regulations and policies relating to library collections and services are available on the Information Services website (https://portal.uea.ac.uk/information-services/strategy-planning-and-compliance/regulations-and-policies/library-regulations-and-policies)

Members of the public who are not current staff of students at UEA can also gain access to physical collections and certain services. Visitors have reference only access to Collections and can also apply for external borrower status subject to an annual administrative fee. The visitor access service also enables access to a limited range of electronic resources, dependent on the terms of our licensing agreements with resource providers.

Details of these services and fees are further outlined on the library website

Information available for re-use

UEA Library produces and holds large amounts of information in various formats. You can re-use information that is produced by the service free of charge provided it is not subject to copyright, data protection or a third party agreement.
