The Field Services Store in ENV is operated by a Field Services Technician who can provide advice and guidance. Field equipment is loaned and can be booked through the Field Services Store.

The field store is located under Norfolk terrace in room 106/03.A27A, across from the ENV loading bay.
Field Services Procedures
If you need to discuss the technical requirements of your fieldwork, or check what equipment is available, please email email@example.com to arrange a time to see the Field Services Technician.
If you require assistance in the field with undergraduate projects or teaching related field services please contact Ben McLeod 07850 309708 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you require research or post graduate student support in the field please contact Fiona Cotterill to discuss your requirements. Funding is required to cover technical support buyout for research based field work.
Field Store Equipment Loan:
Complete a risk assessment
A Risk Assessment must be in place before any equipment is issued from the Environmental Sciences Field Store.
A Risk Assessment can be found on the Documents and Forms page. This form needs to be completed by both the student and their supervisor including the supervisor’s comments otherwise the form will be rejected. The form must then be submitted by email to email@example.com with a ‘cc’ to all named parties. A copy of the risk assessment must be available at the locations(s) where the work is carried out.
Complete an Equipment Loan Form
The Field Services Store has a wide range of equipment that can be loaned for use in the field. To arrange an equipment loan please complete the relevant field store equipment loan form (below) and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org or make an apoointment to see the Field Services Technician.
Please allow 3-5 working days to allow equipment to be checked and prepared prior to collection of equipment. The Field Store will then reply to that equipment request confirming the collection date and time. If your request is urgent please let us know when the form is e-mailed and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
Return of equipment
Please return equipment by the stipulated date on your request form. If you would like to loan equipment for a longer period than stipulated on your request form please e-mail email@example.com to see if this is possible.
