The university is host to many thousands of visitors each year: attending events, conferences and meetings, experiencing our fantastic cultural and sporting facilities and enjoying the beautiful surroundings of our campus.
During term time visitor parking can often reach capacity by 10 am Monday to Friday. We recommend those traveling to campus without a visitor parking permit consider alternative travel methods such as public transport or cycling.
Please speak to a member of the Travel and Transport team for advice on all matters parking and travel.
Visitor Parking Charges
Alternative visitor parking on campus can be found in the Central Car Park (P5 on the campus map) and off road parking at Suffolk Walk. Both these parking areas are Pay and Display and are maximum two hour stay.
Please ensure you are aware of the parking charges before parking on campus.
If you lose your token for the Main Car Park you can gain exit by pressing the ‘Lost Token' button on Pay Machine 1. There is a £25 charge to obtain a new token but if you later find your original token you can claim a refund by bringing your token and receipt to the UEA Security Lodge between 7am - 6pm Monday – Friday.
Please check your ticket or invitation for any special parking instructions before you set off. Some major events require attendees to use the local park and ride scheme whilst others use specific car parks on campus.
Gigs at the LCR
Please park in the Main Car Park, a short 2-minute walk from the LCR. Parking for gigs is free of charge: at the entry barrier please press the green button to take a token. When you leave, take your car straight to the exit barrier and insert your token at the barrier for exit.
Dropping off and picking up:
The area directly outside the LCR is usually cordoned off on gig nights for pedestrian safety so please use the Main Car Park for dropping off and picking up. Take a token on entry and insert your token at the exit barrier when you leave. There is no need to make payment.
