How will the Sky House affect the journey of my visitors to and from UEA?
How can I help my visitors travelling to and from UEA?
Arrange meetings for after 2pm where practical, as there is considerably less demand for parking after this time.
Where possible, schedule regular meetings to take place during vacation periods or reading weeks when demand for parking is reduced.
You can also help your visitors by providing information on the Park & Ride, public transport links and taxi companies with any meting or event invitations – or ask attendees to share journeys.
What advice can I give to visitors?
Please ensure that visitors are aware that parking on UEA campus may not always be straightforward and they should consider an alternative to the car, such as the free Park & Ride service.
Please advise them to allow extra time as parking may not be readily available or may not be located close to where the event or meeting is being held.
Please ensure your visitors are aware of the charges and the need to have change available.
Please make sure visitors know which car parks are available to them and who to contact should parking prove difficult. The Transport team can provide assistance on 01603 59 2353.
Where can my visitors park on Campus?
Parking on campus is at a premium but staff can help their visitors by encouraging them to plan ahead and providing them with information.
The University provides a free park & ride service 511 from Costessey Park & Ride site with buses arriving every 15 minutes throughout the day and 30 minutes between 11:00 and 15:30. Please see our dedicated Portal page for visitors to help them park.
Where it is deemed necessary Schools/Division can buy parking permits for visitors from the Transport team. The cost of this is £5 for an unrestricted permit* and £2 for a permit which provides parking from 1.45pm (suitable for meetings which take place at 2pm onwards).
*An unrestricted permit allows parking at any time in any car park with the exception of the Enterprise Centre car park and the Sainsbury Centre for the Visual Arts car park.
