UEA Brain Imaging Centre
Following the award of a research grant by the Wellcome Trust to the School of Psychology and Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, three spaces in the Lawrence Stenhouse Building will be converted to house an MRI Scanner.
The current EDU teaching rooms will be relocated to Crome Court Common Room and Lawrence Stenhouse Building 02.102.
Ground testing to the BMRC access road will be undertaken Wednesday 18 March and will require temporary closure to four accessible parking spaces for the duration of one day.
Contractors Cocksedge will be undertaking construction works to accommodate the UEA Brain Imaging Centre within the Lawrence Stenhouse Building from May 11 2020.
Please note, to adhere with social distancing measures a one-way system will be put in place in Lawnrence Stenhouse Building outside 02.102.
The main body of works will continue through to summer 2020 in preparation for the arrival of the MRI scanner itself, due to be delivered at the end of July.
Following on from delivery of the MRI scanner there will be further buildings works (including closing of external facades), extensing testing and commissioning of the unit leading to anticipated completion in September 2020.
