Four storey Integrated Teaching and Laboratory to be built on the site of the old Chancellors' Drive Annexe. Construction is due to start on 2 January 2018 and becoming operational by September 2019. The district heating main will be extended to the new building either over ground or via a trench in the road. Approximately 20 parking spaces outside the Julian Study Centre will be temporary taken out of service. Access and exit to West car park to be finalised. Traffic will be managed on and off campus. there will be priods of disruptive noise during construction. Designs are being finalised.
On target for July 2019 completion and open to students September 2019. How to access site yet to be determined as it is a construction site with subsequent noise, traffic etc.
The Consultant team has been appointed for the final phase of the overall project, Phase III to include the landscaping of the courtyard, repairs to the smaller outbuildings and provision of cycling rack. On-going discussions are being held with the planners and Historic England for the concluding phase of this development that includes a single-storey extension to accommodate additional office space and the Law Clinic.
Pending appraisals, the project aims to complete by Spring 2019.
The proposal is to lease the grounds to the rugby club who will manage the site and facilities. The project is awaiting client funding and has an anticipated completion date of late 2018.
A feasibility study is being undertaken for the expansion of Norwich Business School to accommodate 40 new staff. This will consider various options such as extending the building and improving the efficiencies of the current space. The project is anticipated to run from Summer 2018 until September 2019. A Consultant Design Team has been appointed and key client budgetary decisions will be made by the end of June.
