You can use our self-service email system to:
- Check on the status of a maintenance job
- Find out if a job has been reported
- Chase up a job
- Check if there are any access issues that may affect those with mobility impairment
How to use the self-service email
Email firstname.lastname@example.org and use the subject field to type the relevant instruction depending on the information you want:
Request the help email
Type help into the subject field and send.
This will display all possible instructions for use with the self-service email.
Check an individual job number
Type status and your job number into the subject field and send
Example: status 123456
This will display whether the job is complete or currently assigned alongside the details of the location and an estimated completion time.
Check jobs in an individual location
Type anyjobs and the location into the subject field and send
Example: anyjobs 25/1.11
This will display any jobs for any given location within a building. Please note, this will require a precise room location.
List all jobs in a given building
Type alljobs and building name into the subject field and send
Example: alljobs chemistry
This will display all jobs currently assigned or recently completed for a building.
Chase a job
Type chase, job number and the message you want to include (optional) into the subject field and sendExample: chase 123456 becoming more urgent, please attend ASAP
This will send a prompt to our helpdesk to investigate the progress of a job.
