Privacy Policy Update  UPDATED MAY 2018 

The University needs to collect and process staff personal data in order to function effectively as an organisation. Personal data will be collected and processed in accordance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018. Cancellations and Charges

Regrettably, we must still continue with our policy of charging a cancellation fee of £30 to the departments of UEA staff who withdraw from a course giving less than 5 working days' notice. The recharge will be sent to the Dean / Head of Unit with a copy to the individual concerned.

Thankfully, most participants do attend the courses they book, or they cancel well in advance (giving us plenty of time to offer their place to someone else) so in practice, we rarely have to levy cancellation fees.

Please note that the Centre for Staff and Educational Development also reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee of £30 to the Norwich Bio-Science Institutes staff who withdraw from a course giving less than 5 working days notice.

Cancellations by external applicants made more than 14 days before the start of a course will receive a 50% refund, thereafter no refund will be made - although substitutions will be allowed.
