Fabio R Aricò
Fabio is a Senior Lecturer and Director of Teaching at the School of Economics. He was awarded a National Teaching Fellowship in September 2017, and he is very active promoting teaching excellence both within and outside UEA. His pedagogical research focusses on active learning, technology-enhanced learning, and academic self-efficacy. 

Eylem Atakav

Dr Eylem Atakav is Senior Lecturer in Film and Television Studies at the University of East Anglia where she teaches courses on women, Islam and media; and Middle Eastern media. She is the Leader for the Intercultural Communication and Training Network of the Teaching, Learning and Scholarship Knowledge Community of NAFSA: Association of International Educators. She is the recipient of 2016 Society for Cinema and Media Studies Outstanding Contribution to Pedagogy Award, she has been an HEA National Teaching Fellow since 2016.

Robert Jenkins, NBS

Dr Robert Jenkins is a Lecturer in Business Statistics in Norwich Business School and a University Teaching Fellow.  He has been on the Steering Group for 4 years and is interested in how students who have disengaged with mathematics learn the subject within their discipline.

Gill Seyfang

Gill Seyfang (National Teaching Fellow 2017)  is known for her innovative teaching methods which use improvised theatrical performances to engage students in active learning. She leads a team in ENV developing these methods, which have been taken up in other disciplines and Universities worldwide.  


Jude Smith, CSED
Jude has worked in CSED for 14 years and for the last 10 years has been responsible for the design of the marketing materials and website for Learning & Teaching Day. 

Nicola Spalding

Nicola is Professor of Occupational Therapy, with an interest in teaching quality enhancement. She teaches on a Masters in Clinical Education and has carried out research into patient education and EBL. She has been on the L&T Day steering committee for many years.

Kay is a professor of science communication in the School of Biological Sciences and works in collaboration with several external organisations on student projects.

Tim has worked in CSED providing admin support for the MA-HEP and academic practice courses for 10 years.  The 2018 Learning and Teaching Day will be his third as co-ordinator.
