Access the following via the LearnUpon system - you may need your UEA username and password. Click on the links below and follow the instructions. If required a user guide has been provided.
- UEA Induction Module (recommended for new staff)
Note that as this module is not mandatory, if you work through just a part of the module it will be placed in the 'Completed' group on the 'Dashboard' - you may open the module from here when you want to continue, just click on Completed tab then on Induction Module.
- Diversity in the Workplace (mandatory for all staff)
- Recruitment and Selection (mandatory for those involved in job interviews)
- Staff Appraisal (mandatory for appraisers, recommended for appraisees)

Agendas and Minutes
Many people find themselves required to construct agendas and take minutes at meetings, often without training. This online Blackboard module is for staff with little or no experience of taking minutes. It covers the preparation of agendas, the structure and content of minutes and different minute-taking styles. Project Management Skills
This online introductory Blackboard learning module is for staff running a project as part of their role for the first time, staff supporting a project or for those wanting to explore the application of project based working skills as part of their day to day work. The module introduces the basic concepts, processes and skills used to take a project through the key phases, and suits staff who wish to work through the learning at their own pace. This training is for academic staff who undertake a student advisor role. Advisors should ensure that they are fully briefed on the requirements of the role, have undergone appropriate training at the required frequencies, and are able to refer advisees to the other specialist support services.
