INTRODUCTION TO UNIVERSITY LEADERSHIP

Dates: Tuesday 12 and Wednesday 13 June 2018

Nomination Process: Nomination for this programme will be sought through the Registrar, Deans of Faculty and Heads of Central Units.

Time commitment: A two-day intensive programme.

Target audience: Academic staff who may aspire to become Heads of School, leaders of large research or teaching programmes, Associate Deans or administrative staff who may aspire to become Heads of Services.

ILM CERTIFICATE IN LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT (LEVEL 3)

Dates and times: Wednesdays 10 January, 7 February, 14 March, 25 April, 16 May & 20 June 2018, 9.30am-4.30pm

This course provides an introduction to supervisory and management skills to equip staff with the knowledge and understanding for employment in management positions.

The course leads to a nationally-recognised qualification and consists of six, one-day workshops, with the completion of short assignments between sessions.

  • Teamwork
  • Problem solving.

 

 

 

ILM DIPLOMA IN LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT (LEVEL 5)

The course runs over two years with scheduled sessions once a month. You are expected to undertake reading and research in your own time. Assessment methods for each unit will include presentations, case studies, assignments and work-based projects.

This course provides participants with the knowledge and skills for continued professional development in operational management positions. It helps staff develop an understanding of a wide range of management and leadership topics, issues, processes and systems.
