The Assembly is an annual discussion forum at which all members of UEA staff can discuss and declare an opinion on any matter whatsoever relating to the University.

28/04/2020 - Please note that the 2020 Assembly meeting on 20 May 2020 has been cancelled. 

The University Ordinances detail the requirements for meetings of The Assembly.  This year’s meeting was due to take place on Wednesday 20 May.  The Standing Committee of the Assembly had recently met to consider items submitted and had determined that the submissions received may be presented as questions.

On that basis, in accordance with section five of Ordinance 2, this year’s assembly meeting was cancelled.

The Standing Committee of the Assembly would ensure that formal responses are obtained to the questions and that these have been published below under the date of the 2020 Meeting.

Please note we do not take apologies for the Assembly meeting. The Assembly meeting generally take not less than 1 hour, however the duration of all meetings shall be at most two hours, it depends what is on the agenda and the level of discussion for the agenda items.
