What the Digital Innovation Team does What the Digital Innovation Team does

What we do:

Our primary purpose as a team is to conceive of and manage projects that improve UEA's digital presence for our external audiences.

The DIT works with stakeholders across Admissions, Recruitment and Marketing and the wider UEA organisation to provide project-level improvements to the UEA web presence. This work can be ad hoc or 'run of business' improvements that enable internal website users to meet their objectives, longer term planned project work or investigating and fixing on-site issues.

In addition we run regular training sessions on our website CMS platform, Liferay. We also provide regular Web Administration Group meetings to enable web editors to communicate and, where possible, get insight from third party experts.

What we don't do:

The DIT is not an administration function and we do not upload or create content. However, we will train you or your team to upload your own content.

Additionally if new functionality is required is required to meet a business need on the site we'll work with you to develop it, but ultimately using that functionality and populating any resulting content pages will be the responsibility of the content owner/ requestor.

While the DIT controls the website platform, we do not control the content on it (although we can provide guidance for content if you require it). Content on the UEA website is owned and managed by the faculty, school or department in charge of a given section of the site.
