Foodbank collection

Uea(su) Welfare, community and diversity officer, Amelia Trew is responding to problems relating to coronavirus by collecting for local food banks. She is asking for donations of at least one item of food or resource. This is going to be a hard time for a lot of the members of the community and Amelia believes that we all have a role to play in making sure everyone receives at least some level of support.

Amelia Said: “As you all know it's corona time in Norwich and because of the virus (and some people's reactions because of it) it's going to be really tough on a lot of people. I'm focusing on ways to support our local community, students and staff but have major concerns for our local food banks, the lack of donations they are going to be receiving in the next few months and how this is going to affect those who use them.”

For people unable to go out and make donation, Amelia is happy to go and collect them as she is already linked up to a local food bank. Contact Amelia at A.trew@uea.ac.uk
