Special arrangements for MED and HSC students Special arrangements for MED and HSC students

We recommend that you visit our Accommodation Options page for information about the various types of accommodation available to you. You may also find it useful to refer to a map of the campus. We also strongly recommend that you attend one of the UEA Open Days or Visit Days during which you will be able to visit our accommodation and look at some of our rooms. We hope that you also find our pages on Living in Residences useful.

MED & HSC course length MED & HSC course length

As an undergraduate MED or HSC student your course is longer than the standard UEA undergraduate course so you will need to stay in UEA Accommodation for longer than the standard 38 week period. Because of this we do have to limit the buildings that we offer you, however, you still have the full range of room type options available to you. Each flat in a designated MED and HSC area will normally have half its residents from these courses. That way you will be able to easily meet students from all over the University.

MED Foundation Year - 40 weeks
All other MED courses - 40 weeks
HSC courses - 42-48 weeks (depending on individual course)

placements placements

Prospective students are politely advised that they will be committing to the full licence period and that they will not be released from the licence to attend work placements (or equivalent).
