how to pay for accommodation how to pay for accommodation

We have a central Finance department which handles all of our accommodation fee payments, so we do not take any payments via the UEA Accommodation Office. Accommodation fees should be paid or a payment plan agreed within 28 days of the Licence start date.

Accommodation fees are payable after your arrival at UEA. Payments are not required in advance, but will be accepted.

How to pay How to pay

Registered students will be able to log on to the SITS e:Vision Portal and select the Finance Page to view online details of your account. This will include any payments, credits, or invoices outstanding. You can use e:Vision to make a payment online and set up a Direct Debit to make future payments.

You can also contact the Finance Office for further details. The Finance Office has further information about payment methods or instalment options.

Visiting and Exchange students should note that to set up a bank account most UK banks require you to be resident in the county for longer than six months.

What to do if you can't pay on time What to do if you can't pay on time

If you are having difficulties paying, please speak to the Finance department. They may be able to extend the due date on your invoice or change your payment plan. If you miss the due date of the invoice and do not contact the Finance Office, you could be liable for late fees. If you have more fundamental financial problems, speak to someone in the Student Support Service Finance Team, as you may be eligible for Financial Aid. Don't let yourself run up debt: if you have a problem paying on time, do something straight away.

Failure to pay accommodation fees is a serious breach of the terms and conditions of the licence to occupy, which can result in eviction from residences.
