Kitchen facilities are available in all of our residences. Many residents cook for themselves or join together with friends to cook meals. Facilities vary across campus. For full details about the cooking facilities in each of our residences, please refer to our Comparison Chart.
If you would like to cook in residences you should bring your own pots, pans, crockery (plates and bowls) and cutlery.
There is a small shop (shopSU) on campus and supermarkets in the city centre. Alternatively, residents can order online groceries to be delivered from some of the larger supermarkets.
For help and inspiration, we asked our student residents to submit recipes made in UEA residences using the cooking facilities provided. Please feel free to download and use the student cookbook, "A Taste of UEA Residences".
Campus Kitchen offers a range of food and drink across several outlets around the UEA's Campus.
Campus Kitchen has teamed up with sQuid to allow staff and students to use a contactless payment card to buy food and drink within Campus Kitchen outlets across campus. This can be topped up manually or have a direct debit to top the card up automatically.
As well as being more convenient, using sQuid will give a 5% discount on transactions. You can pick up a free sQuid card from any Campus Kitchen Outlet or from the Accommodation Office.
